Understanding Consumers, Producers, and Prosumers

I think there are three ways to be in this world: one as a producer, two as a consumer, and three as a prosumer.

So, you can only be one of these three categories.

Yes, it’s true. The three categories are prosumer, consumer, or producer.

These things and wherever you are, I think you need to understand which category you belong to. Are you consuming a lot? That means you’re consumer.

But if not, then what?

You are producing, and if you’re prosuming, then you’re prosumer. That’s how the world works.

The world runs by producers.

Consumer Mindset

So, let’s say you go to YouTube and watch some videos. Okay?

From your perspective as a consumer, you’ll see only consumer content: videos from creators who are producing for consumers, not for other producers.

You’ll see advertisements because that’s what consumers want to see. You’ll be interested in what’s trending right now, who’s doing what, and how they’re doing it.

On the other hand, if your perspective is as a producer, you’ll see different content altogether. You won’t care about consumer trends or advertising; instead, you’ll focus on creating high-quality content that consumers will consume.

Consumer vs Producer Perspective

If you watch YouTube with a consumer mindset, you’ll only see consumer videos: stupid blogs, news, and whatever’s trending right now.

But if you switch to a producer perspective, you’ll see different content. You won’t care about the latest trends or consumer opinions; instead, you’ll focus on creating high-quality content for producers like yourself.

And if you watch YouTube with neither of these perspectives (i.e., as someone who’s trying to decide between them), you might see a mix of both: consumer content and producer-oriented content.

Shifting Perspectives

To get the most out of YouTube, you need to shift your perspective from consumer to producer or prosumer. If all your peers are consumers, they’ll influence your behavior and make you a consumer too. But if all your peers are producers or prosumers, you’ll be more likely to become one yourself.

The Three Categories

So, there’s only one way to categorize people: as consumers, producers, or prosumers. And everyone comes into the world as a consumer.

When someone grows up, they need to understand their purpose in life and figure out which category they belong to. If they become aware of their true potential and start working towards it, they’ll evolve into prosumers.

From Consumer to Prosumer to Producer

If you drink milk from your mother’s breasts, you’re consuming food for growth and sustenance. That’s the way human beings come into this world: as consumers.

But when we grow up and understand our purpose in life, we become prosumers. We start producing high-quality content and consuming knowledge.

Only then can we become true producers, taking charge of our lives and creating a better world for ourselves and others.

Conclusion

So, to sum it up: every human being comes into this world as a consumer. Then they learn themselves what they want, why they are here, and what is their purpose in life. When that’s clear, then they become prosumers. And if they’re more aware still, they become producers.

That’s the only way to create a better world – by becoming aware of our true potential and taking responsibility for ourselves.
